I just love his work, I have a few wonderful books. However, this book dissaponted me. This is technically a catalog of the  › Books › Arts & Photography. Best known as a decorative glassmaker of the s and 30s, Rene Lalique was a multi-talented craftsman who began his career as a goldsmith and went on to become a leading exponent of Art Deco.

His versatility is revealed in this book which shows how he was equally at home designing delicate jewellery or mass-produced scent bottles, as he was René Lalique, a master artist and designer of early 20th-century France, initially achieved fame for his jewelry creations that were widely admired and collected.

He began experimenting with glass in the s, and was so captivated by the material that he spent the  › Books › Crafts, Hobbies & Home › Antiques & Collectibles.

A wonderful book which puts Rene Lalique's jewellery out in the general public's domain. His dragon fly designs are of exquisite complexity.

His insect designs come to life and are sometimes quite sinister, but always beautiful swaying organic :// This is an extremely nice book for anyone who is a fan of Lalique crystal.
